motor aspects for writing
A more high-tech AT tool for writing could be word recognition software. As mentioned on the "Computer Access" page "Dragon" software is a great tool, quite simply "you talk, it types." This software may be useful for a visually impaired child or someone who has a more difficult time coordinating their fine motor skills. You can buy Dragon here: http://www.nuance.com/dragon/index.htm

Some children in the classroom may be diagnosed with "dysgraphia," a learning disability based around difficulties with writing. These children may benefit from some of the AT mentioned above. They also could be aided through being allowed to answer test questions orally, being allowed more time on written tests, or simply taking more breaks during their writing process.
